The 23-year-old stopper has sealed his season-long loan deal with the German lower division side in the ongoing summer transfer window
German-born Ghanaian centre-back Stephan Abrosius has joined Bundesliga Il side Karlsruher SC from fellow lower division side Hamburger SV until the end of the 2022/23 football season.
The former St. Pauli youth man is joining the Wildparkstadion outfit for game time having failed to cement a place in the mainstream squad of the former Bundesliga top-flight campaigners since his graduation from the youth team ranks.
Right after putting pen to paper on the deal, the 23-year-old had this to say; "I am very happy to be here in Karlsruhe. I want to help the team with my positive nature, I will give my all for them and I'm looking forward to being on the pitch with the lads soon."
Sporting director Oliver Kreuzer added this to his communications network right after capturing the World Cup- bound guardsman; "It's a win-win situation for both sides. We get a central defender who can help us directly and at the same time Stephan can recommend himself for a World Cup nomination. We are looking forward to a reinforcement on the defensive!."
Having switched national allegiance to Ghana, Stephan could be in pole position to represent the 2010 Fifa World Cup quarter-finalist in the upcoming 2022 Mundial in Qatar later this year.
