The German third tier campaigners have announced the loan signing of the 25-year-old forward of Ghanaian heritage from the second tier outfit in this current transfer window
German-born Ghanaian striker Vincent Ocansey has joined 3. Liga side FC Erzgebirge Aue from 2. Liga club Arminia Bielefeld on a six-month loan deal, the club have confirmed.
The ex-TS Dortmund man is joining the Veilchen until the end of the current campaign after failing to cement his position in the set-up of manager Michél Kniat so far this term.
An official statement confirming the loan deal of the Ghana-prospect attacker reads: ''FC Erzgebirge Aue have signed striker Vincent Ocansey on loan from Arminia Bielefeld for the second half of the 2025/26 season. The 25-year-old joins the FCE team with immediate effect.
''Vincent Ocansey made seven appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga during the first half of the season, otherwise played for Arminia Bielefeld II in the Oberliga Westfalen and also has Regionalliga experience from 42 matches for Wuppertaler SV, Türkspor Dortmund and FC Gütersloh.
''FC Erzgebirge Aue will have to do without Julian Günther-Schmidt for the time being. The attacking player suffered a torn anterior ligament in his right ankle during a challenge early in the home game against Ulm, meaning he will not be able to play in Friday's match in Havelse.''
Sporting director Michael Tarnat has said briefly of the signing of the 25-year-old to his club's official website: ''We need impetus, options and power, especially in attack.''
Given his Ghanaian heritage, he remains eligible to switch nationality allegiance by representing Ghana on the international stage.
