The 20-year-old youngster of Ghanaian descent has completed his transfer switch to the newly-promoted German second tier side from the top-tier outfit in this summer transfer window

German-born Ghanaian youngster Benjamin Boakye has joined 2. Bundesliga club Arminia Bielefeld from VfB Stuttgart in an undisclosed period of contract, the club have confirmed.

The talented winger is linking up with the Bielefelder Alm Arena campaigners on a permanent basis after spending a decade with his boyhood club.

An official statement over his capturing read: ''DSC Arminia has signed Benjamin Boakye from VfB Stuttgart. The 20-year-old attacker will begin team training on Wednesday. Both clubs have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer.''

The Ghana-prospect budding star has said right after sealing his move to his new employers, telling the club's official website: "I'm really looking forward to this new challenge in a completely new environment for me. I want to take the next step in my career at Arminia. The management has made a lot of effort for me and shown me the development prospects. I can hardly wait to be on the pitch with the team and soon play in front of our fans at the SchücoArena.''

Sporting director Michael Mutzel added: ''With his speed, his one-on-one strengths, and his dynamism, Benjamin can create a goal-scoring threat from many situations and brings exactly what we want to our game. Despite his young age, he has already impressed at a high level, and at the same time, we are confident that he can continue his strong development with us. That's why we are delighted that he has chosen Arminia and wants to take the next step with us.''

Before ending his long-term marriage with VfB Stuttgart, he featured in over 100 games by netting 34 times and assisting 14 across all contests during his stay with them.

Having played for the Germany U18 national youth team, Boakye still remains fit to play for Ghana on the international stage.
