Ghanaian forward Desmond Amoh Nketia has joined Portuguese second-tier side CD Feirense, the club have announced.
The 24-year-old makes the move from Portugal's fourth tier side O Elvas C.A.D and is expected to strengthen Feirense’s attacking options ahead of the upcoming Liga Portugal 2 season.
Nketia, who has been tipped as a promising talent, becomes the fourth signing of Feirense ahead of the new football season.
Details of the contract were not disclosed. "Firepower Desmond Nketia is the fourth reinforcement at Ricardo Costa's orders," a statement from the club on social media read.
"The Ghanaian striker arrives at Castelo from O Elvas CAD. Clube Desportivo Feirense -Futebol, SAD informs that player Desmond Nketia is a reinforcement for the new 2025/2026 season. The 24-year-old forward represented clubs such as UD Vilafranquense; SC Ideal; Académica OAF; Elvas CAD."
Nketiah shared his excitement on Instagram after signing the dotted lines: "A special phase for me has come to an end. Thank you to everyone at Elvas” coaching staff, colleagues and fans” for making me feel part of something bigger. I leave with pride, gratitude and many memories that I will take with me. Football continues, but I cherish this chapter.

Feirense finished 8th with 49 points on the Liga Portugal 2 table and are aiming for promotion to the Primeira Liga under their current rebuild."
