The German fourth-tier campaigners have announced the capturing of the 25-year-old forward of Ghanaian heritage in this ongoing winter transfer window

Ghanaian striker Charles-Jesaja Herrmann has joined Regionalliga West (lV) side FC Bocholt on a one-and-a-half-year deal, the club have confirmed.

The former VfL Wolfsburg U17 star is linking up with the Stadion am Hünting outfit on a free transfer after severing ties with Luxembourgish first division club Racing FC Union Luxembourg this January.

An excerpt of an official confirmation over the signing of the former Hannover 96 youth star reads: ''1. FC Bocholt have signed German striker Jesaja Herrmann. The 25-year-old forward signed a contract at Bocholt's Hünting stadium on Friday and is expected to bolster the team's attack.''

The Ghana-prospect attacker has expressed his delight at sealing his move to his new employers by telling the club's official website: ''I made this decision consciously. The discussions with those in charge were convincing. I'm looking forward to the project at 1. FC Bocholt and will do everything I can to achieve the club's goals.''

Sporting director Christopher Schorch added: ''With the signing of Jesaja Herrmann, we have secured our absolute top target for the striker position. He combines physical presence and robustness with excellent playing ability. Jesaja has consistently demonstrated his goal-scoring prowess at his previous clubs.''

Prior to his switch to the German lowly division side this January, he took in 12 game appearances by scoring 8 goals and setting up 2 for Racing FC Union Luxembourg in this current 2025-26 season.

Herrmann, whose father is former Ghana international midfielder Charles Kwablan Akonnor, remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Germany national youth teams.
