The 24-year-old midfield enforcer has joined the Spanish Second-tier side on a season-long loan deal in this ongoing summer transfer window
Spanish LaLiga 2 side CD Lugo have announced the loan signing of Ghanaian midfielder Sabit Abdulai from elite division side Getafe CF until the end of the 2023/24 football campaign.
The former Extremadura UD enforcer, who spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Third-tier side SD Ponferradina, has yet again been shipped out to the Spanish Segunda División outfit ahead of the upcoming season.
Announcing their loan deal with the ex-Ghana U23 midfielder, the Estadio Anxo Carro outfits said: "CD Lugo and Getafe CF have reached an agreement for the loan of Sabit Abdulai, and his arrival as a new Albivermello player.Sabit's loan is stipulated for one season, and the date of his presentation will be announced soon."
Sabit is expected to bring stability in the midfield department of manager Iñigo Vélez as the Spanish gaffer aims to secure qualification to the top-flight next term.
The Techiman-born midfielder is yet to earn his international cap with the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars having featured for the U20 & U23 national youth teams.
