The lcelandic top-flight campaigners have announced the capturing of the 27-year-old defender in a deal set to come to a close in 2027
Ghanaian defender Michael Akoto has sealed a two-year contract with lceland Besta deild karla club KR Reykjavik, the club have confirmed.
The former Dynamo Dresden rearguard is joining the KR-ingar on a free transfer following his departure from Danish top-flight outfit Aarhus GF in this current transfer window.
A statement over the signing of the Ghanaian centre-back read on the club's official media channel:''Michael Akoto (1997) has signed a contract with the club until the 2027 season! Michael Akoto is a German defender who last played for AGF in the Danish first division. We are looking forward to seeing Michael Akoto on the pitch and welcome him to KR!''
He is yet to be cap-tied by the Ghana Senior Men's National Team on the international stage although he remains fit to play for the Die Mannschaft.
