The Portuguese elite division side have announced the capturing of the Ghanaian defender on transfer deadline day, with his fresh terms set to expire in 2028

Portuguese Primeira Liga side Estrela da Amadora have signed Ghanaian centre-back Semeu Commey on a three-year deal from Third-Tier side CD Trofense.

The 20-year-old swapped the lower division side for the Estádio José Gomes campaigners as his deal with the former was due to expire on June 30, 2025.

Announcing the deal with the Boavista FC U19 youth man, the top-flight outfit have said their contractual obligations with the Ghanaian youngster will expire in 2028, stating on their club's official website: ''Semeu Commey is the latest star signing and signs until 2028.''

''The athlete comes from CD Trofense, from Liga 3. Having played for Boavista in his youth, the 20-year-old central defender was in his third season with the Trofense team. This season, Commey has been an option in 18 games, scoring one goal.''

Commey has been an instrumental figure for CD Trofense since linking up with them in the lower division contest from Boavista during the 2023-24 football campaign.

Before sealing his transfer move, he featured in 18 games by scoring once and assisting once for the Trofa-based club in this 2024-25 Liga 3 season.

He is yet to be cap-tied by the Ghana Men's Senior National Team, the Black stars at the international level.
