Franch Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg have completed the loan signing of English-born Ghanaian youngster Samuel Amo-Ameyaw on the winter transfer window deadline day.

Amo-Ameyaw has joined the Blue and Whites lads until the end of the 2024/25 season's campaign and expected to have an instant impact in the French top-flight league.

RC Strasbourg has an option to secure the signature of the budding talented forward on permanent basis in the summer of 2025.

The club's official statement reads: “Southampton have confirmed that winger Sam Amo-Ameyaw has completed a loan move to Strasbourg.”

“The 18-year-old has joined the Ligue 1 side for the remainder of the campaign, before an agreed permanent transfer to the club in the summer.”

Amo-Ameyaw made 12 senior appearances for the Saints in all competitions, scoring one goal.

He is eligible to represent Ghana at the international stage despite playing for England at the U19 and U21 levels.
