The 22-year-old Dutch defender completed his medical at the club before signing a 3-year-deal with an option to extend by a further season."

Asante expressed his happiness over his move to his new club, adding to the club's website; "I am really happy to be here and sign for the biggest club in Israel. I am looking forward to play in front of the Maccabi fans at Bloomfield stadium and ready to win more titles. Let’s make this season a successful one.”
