The South Korean second-tier outfit have snapped up the services of the the 29-year-old centre-forward for the current League campaign
K League 2 club Chungnam Asan FC have announced the signing of Ghanaian striker Naeem Mohammed in an undisclosed period of contract.
The former Sandvikens IF loanee attacker, who came close to joining up with lsraeli top-tier side Maccabi Netanya during the 2025 summer window, has now headed to the Asian country to continue with his football journey after leaving Swedish top-flight side Halmstads BK.
ln a statement confirming the capturing of the Ghanaian attacker, the Asan-based club have said: ''Chungnam Asan Professional Football Club (Owner Oh Se-hyun, CEO Lee Jun-il, hereinafter referred to as Chungnam Asan FC) has strengthened its attack by recruiting Ghanaian striker Naeem Mohamed.
''Born in 1996, Naim is a striker known for his speed, penetrating attack, and finishing inside the box. He excels at penetrating behind the opposing defense and is a versatile player capable of playing as both a striker and winger. Naim's speed and penetrating ability are expected to be very effective in the attacking football that coach Im Gwan-sik pursues.
''Naim has been steadily gaining experience on the Swedish stage since 2019. In the 2022 season, he scored 23 goals in 27 games for Sandvikens IF, becoming the league's top scorer. Afterwards, he transferred to the Swedish first division team 'Halmstads BK' and proved his competitiveness with 19 goals and 6 assists in 73 games.''
Right after appending his signature to the deal, Naeem has stated to his club's official website: ''I'm very excited to join Chungnam Asan FC. I want to quickly integrate into the team and show my best in front of the fans. I aim to become a player who contributes to the team's success by scoring a lot of goals."
Before leaving the Sweden terrain, Naeem made over 185 appearances by scoring 86 goals and assisting 7 times across all contests he figured for his clubs in the Swedish football seasons.
He is yet to earn his international cap with the Ghana senior national team, the Black Stars on the international stage.
