Former African Talent Academy Academy midfielder, Baba Alhassan has sealed a huge switch to Romanian heavyweights FC Steaua Bucuresti from FC Hermannstadt.

The 23-year-old was unveiled couple of days ago and is expected to join his new teammates on January 1 to have his mandatory medicals very soon, when the winter transfer window opens.

The combative midfielder has been outstanding since joining the Red and Blacks and the ongoing season has been no exception, having netted two goals in nineteen matches so far.

Baba, after a fruitful negotiations agreed to join the giants though the details of his move hasn't been revealed yet and is expected to bring in stability and healthy competition in coach Elias Charalambous' midfield department.

FC Steaua Bucuresti heading into the Christmas break, are leading the Romanian SuperLiga with 44 points after 21 games and are hoping to continue with the same momentum to clinch the title for the twenty-seventh time.

The Red-Blues will return into action on January 22, 2024, and will host UTA Arad in the next round of matches at the National Arena.
