After snapping up his services, the former top division outfit have said on their club's official website: ''Real Zaragoza and Real Betis have reached an agreement for the transfer of Mawuli Mensah to the Zaragoza team.

''Mensah [Accra, Ghana, 11/15/2003] is a midfielder who, after training in his country of birth, arrived in Spain with Antequera and, in the summer of 2023, Betis incorporated him for their reserve team.

''With a record of 9 goals and one assist in 65 games with Betis Deportivo, Mensah now arrives in Zaragoza to complete the midfield of the team managed by Rubén Sellés and signs for the remainder of the season, with an option to extend until 2028.

''From the club, we welcome you and wish you the best of luck in this new chapter we're beginning together. Go for it, Mawuli!''

Mensah is yet to earn his cap with the Ghana senior national team, the Black Stars on the international stage.
