The forward has completed his move to the Danish top-flight side in this current transfer window

Ghanaian striker Malik Abubakari has joined Danish Superliga side Lyngby Boldklub on a three-year deal, the club have confirmed.

The 24-year-old is linking up with The Royal Blues from Swedish top-flight outfit Malmo FF this summer.

Announcing the deal, those in charge of the Lyngby Stadium have said via their club's official website; "Lyngby Boldklub strengthens the offensive with the 24-year-old Ghanaian Malik Abubakari. The striker has been released from his contract with Malmö FF and joins Lyngby Boldklub on a 3-year contract.

"At De Kongeblå, he will be the club's new number 9, and football manager Nicas Kjeldsen is happy with Abubakari's approach."

Club's manager Nicas Kjeldsen revealed his excitement over the capturing of the former HJK Helsinki loanee man by adding to his communications network; "As a striker, Malik has a really exciting package. He can give us some of what we've been missing on the front line in terms of some speed and some deep runs that we've been missing a little bit. It is not a one-on-one replacement for Andri, although Malik has some of the same 'presence' on the court. But Malik gives us a few more strings to play on and fits in well with our way of playing.”

"We are happy that we have succeeded in making an agreement with Malik and Malmö about a transfer, and look forward to seeing Malik with the Viking on his chest."

Malik is not new to the Danish top-flight competition having had stint with fellow top-tier outfit Viborg FF during the 2023/24 season on a loan basis.

The Charity Stars youth product is yet to earn his international cap with the men's senior national team the Black Stars.
