The evergreen teenage sensation has completed his transfer switch to the Austrian top-flight outfit following his successful trials over the past weeks
Ghanaian teenager Keneth Yeboah Bonsu has joined Austrian Bundesliga side SK Rapid Wien from Ghanaian lower-tier outfit Namoro Football Academy on a two-year contract, the club have confirmed.
The 18-year-old promising centre-back, who had trials with Spanish La Liga club Villarreal CF last year, has now sealed a permanent move to the Allianz Stadion campaigners after undergoing a successful trial this summer.
ln announcing the deal with the Ghanaian wonderkid, the Die Grün-Weißen have said the budding star will be spending time with the reserve side for the current campaign.
''Transfer news at Rapid II: The 18-year-old central defender Keneth Yeboah Bonsu comes from Ghana to Vienna-Hütteldorf and receives a contract until summer 2027 . The 1.97-meter-tall left-footer impressed in several weeks of trial training and is expected to stabilize the defense. He will wear the number 6 for Rapid II in the future,'' a club's statement read.
Bonsu said of his move to the club's official website: ''I'm very pleased that the move to Hütteldorf worked out. I want to help Rapid II immediately and establish myself as an important part of the team as quickly as possible.''
Sporting director Markus Katzer added: ''With Keneth Yeboah Bonsu , we have acquired a promising central defender for our reserve team. I am sure he will be an asset to the defense and wish him all the best in his new challenge."
With his promising talent as an upcoming youngster, the teenager has already been tipped for greatness with the national teams of the African powerhouse.
