The talented budding star has completed his loan switch to the Swedish elite division outfit from the Ghanaian lower division side until the end of the next summer
Ghanaian teenager Gideon Yaw Yiriyon has joined Allsvenskan side Degerfors IF from Ghanaian side lnter Allies FC on a season-long loan, with an option to make the loan deal permanent after its expiration in June 2026.
The 18-year-old caught the eyes of the Bruket following his impressive loan spell with relegated Superettan (Second Division) club Umeå FC during the just ended 2025 campaign.
ln an announcing the loan deal of the Ghana U17 star, the Stora Valla Stadium outfit have said the loan terms of the promising midfielder could be made permanent at the end of the next term football season.
''Degerfors IF signs 18-year-old midfielder Yiriyon Gideon. The Ghanaian talent and the club have agreed on a loan deal with an option to buy,'' a portion of a statement confirming the loan deal of the lnter Allies owned player read.
Sporting director Patrik Werner said of landing the budding midfielder read via the club's official website: ''Yiriyon is a young, exciting midfielder who we have followed closely during the autumn in Umeå. He has impressed greatly in Superettan and plays very maturely for his age. He works hard over large areas, contributes a lot in the game without the ball and is a skilled passer. It will be very exciting to see him in our environment.''
He featured in 13 games for Umea FC across all competitions during his short-term loan spell in the Superettan 2025 campaign.
Yiriyon has already been earmarked for greatness in his footballing career so far given his magnificent talent as an upcoming youngster.
