The Swedish top-flight campaigners captured the loan services of the talented teenager from his Ghanaian outfit mother club on transfer deadline day
Ghanaian teenage sensation left-back Baba Salifu Apiiga has joined Allsvenskan side lF Brommapojkarna from Ghanaian side Accra Lions on a season-long loan, the club have confirmed.
The 18-year-old defender with his team-mate Courage Otokwefor were together snapped up in the just ended transfer window from the Accra-based club.
ln announcing the loan deals of the duo, those in charge of the Grimsta IP Stadium have said the two teenagers will be made to spent time with both the first-team and the P19 side as they continue to harness their talent as budding stars for the 2026 campaign.
''Both have a background in Accra Lions and are now joining BP to take the next step in their development. Courage is an 18-year-old forward from Nigeria who joins BP on loan and Apiiga is an 18-year-old left-back from Ghana. They will initially be matched in P19 and at the same time participate in the A-team's training to prepare for 2026.
''Courage and Apiiga also join the Spånga Project, BP's initiative that broadens the recruitment base and strengthens competition in the academy by bringing in talent both nationally and internationally. The project provides the players with a secure living situation with support from BP staff and the opportunity for high-quality training and education, which promotes both their social and footballing development.''
Sporting director Philip Berglund commented on the capturing of the talented Ghanaian starlet on his club's official website: ''Apiiga is a left-back we have followed since 2023 and will be exciting to follow in our environment.'' He added on the Nigerian teenager; ''Courage is a young and exciting forward who is fast and strong, and we see great potential in him.''
Apiiga has already been earmarked as the future prospect for Ghana Senior National Team following his exploit with the Ghana U17 & U20 national youth teams.
