The former Feyenoord Rotterdam widesman has completed his move to the German second-tier outfit in this current summer transfer window

German-born Ghanaian winger Christian Conteh joined German 2.Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig on a three-year deal, the club have confirmed.

The 24-year-old is joining the Lions on a free transfer after failing to extend his stay with former club VfL Osnabrück this summer.

An excerpt of official confirmation over his capture by the Eintracht-Stadion campaigners reads; "Eintracht Braunschweig can present another new signing in the form of Christian Conteh. The 24-year-old offensive player last played for VfL Osnabrück and has signed a contract with the Lions until June 30, 2026. He is moving to the Lion City on a free transfer and will now wear the number 32 on his shirt."

The ex-St. Pauli U19 youth star had this to say right after appending his signature to deal, telling the club's official website; " I'm happy to finally be here and to be a Lion. I've already had the chance to meet some of the guys from the team today and have had positive impressions straight away. Of course I'm looking forward to playing in front of this great crowd in Braunschweig and winning games together with the team."

Sporting director Benjamin Kessel added on his new signing flanksman; "Christian brings extreme speed, a lot of depth and a good transition game. These components give us additional quality in attack, and we will also be even more variable with him. He has already shown his skills in the 2nd Bundesliga and also has further development potential. We are pleased that we were able to convince Christian to join forces and will see him in our jersey in the future."

Conteh remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level given his Ghanaian parentage.
