The Danish top-flight side have announced the signing of the Ghanaian teenager ahead of next term campaign
Ghanaian teenager Richmond Gyamfi has joined Danish Superliga side Aarhus Gymnastikforening on a five-year deal, the club have confirmed.
The 19-year-old centre-forward is linking up with the Ceres Park outfit after severing ties with lower division side Hobro IK this summer.
An official confirmation over his deal read; " As the season premiere approaches, we can welcome Richmod Gyamfi to join the 3F Superliga squad."
"Gyamfi comes from Hobro IK and the two clubs have agreed on a transfer that makes Richmond Gyamfi an AGF player for the next five years."
"The 19-year-old Ghanaian striker made his breakthrough in Danish football for Hobro IK in the spring, where he established his name in the NordicBet League with three goals and four assists in 10 games."
Gyamfi had this to say right after sealing his move to his new club; "It is a big day for me and I am proud that I can now switch to a big club like AGF. I feel ready to take the next step in Danish football and AGF is the right place for me to continue my development."
"Now I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates and taking part in the start-up, says Richmond Gyamfi, who will join Fredensvang in the coming days. "
Sporting director Stig Inge Bjørnebye added; "Richmond fits into our "style of play". He is fast, has good physicality and is a skilled finisher. He gives us some x-factor and has a forwardness to his game that is unusual and impressive and we look forward to bringing him into the team."
"We have followed him intensely in the spring and are very happy to be able to welcome him to AGF, where he can now continue his positive development in our framework and release his talent even more."
He is yet to earn his international cap with Ghana at the international level.
