The Black Starlets of Ghana made amends earlier today with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Côte d’Ivoire in a friendly game at the same Alassane Ouattara Stadium.

The two-time world champions left Ghana over the weekend after months of preparations for this double header friendly and lost the first game by 2-0 on Monday, April 27.

The Starlets secured the perfect revenge and redemption with this huge victory and are now highly motivated for subsequent tasks ahead.

The match forms part of Ghana’s preparations ahead of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, with the team having spent months in camp and engaged in several friendlies before traveling to Côte d’Ivoire for this double-header.

Head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum will take positives from the encounter as he continues to shape his squad for the continental showpiece, where Ghana will be making a return for the first time since 2017.

Ghana have been drawn in Group D alongside South Africa, Senegal and Algeria for the tournament in Morocco.
