Ghanaian winger Kofi Asare has sealed a one-year contract with Finnish Veikkausliiga side FC Inter Turku from Swedish second-tier outfit Landskrona BoIS.
ln announcing the deal with the former Hammarby U17 star, those in charge of the Veritas Stadion have said their contractual obligations with the Ghana-prospect widesman could be extended to two years after the end of the 2025 football season.
''FC Inter and Landskrona BoIS have agreed on the transfer of 23-year-old Kofi Asare to the Turku club. The deal, which was confirmed in the last moments of the Finnish transfer window, brings the Swedish winger to Inter on a contract lasting until the 2025 season, with the club's option for the 2026 and 2027 seasons,'' a portion of an official statement over Asare's signing read.
Club manager Vesa Vasara said of the 23-year-old to his club's official media: ''Kofi comes straight from Sweden, where the Superettan season is in progress. He is our type of player: a good 1v1 player who can accelerate and bring a threat even by passing. I am looking forward to seeing how he is integrated into the team's style of play. Hopefully we will have a good success with Kofi for the rest of the season and we will get one more good player, Vesku sums up.''
He remains fit to represent Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Sweden U17 national youth teams.
