The 20-year-old has completed his transfer switch from the Danish top-flight campaigners to the Estonian elite division outfit in this ongoing winter transfer window
Ghanaian midfielder Enock Otoo has joined Estonian top division club FCI Levadia from Danish Superligaen side Lyngby Boldklub, the club have confirmed.
The Right to Dream Academy product, who is joining the Lilleküla Stadium campaigners in this January transfer window, failed to live up to his expectations with the Danish side since linking up with them on a three-year deal during the last winter window.
An excerpt of official statement confirming the signing of the Ghanaian youngster read: ''FCI Levadia is pleased to announce that a new addition to the national team will be from Lyngby Football Club. The contract has been signed with 20-year-old Ghanaian player Enock Otoo!''
Otoo had this to tell his new employers right after putting pen to paper on his new deal via the club's official website: ''I know that Levadia is a team that loves to have the ball most of the time, dominate and pose a threat to the opponent. This is something I would like to be a part of. I believe that having the ball to hurt the opponent and working together as a team will lead us to victory week after week. What made me join the club was the plan presented to me. The head coach and the club as a whole made it clear to me how they would help me develop as a player and how I would fit into the team. As a young footballer, it was very good for me to hear that. I know that this is also a team that gives young players the opportunity to prove themselves, which was also very important to me. For me, the team comes first – when the team performs well, the performance of each individual player also stands out. My expectations are to use my skills to help the team win week after week. And of course, the goal is to win the league and qualify for Europe. I am ready to commit in good times and bad times because we will stick together as a team, not as individual players. I can’t wait to start training and meet the fans at the stadium. Fans – I have heard how important you are to this club and I look forward to seeing you supporting us when the team plays to cheer you all on. Together we can create even more memories this year. Vamos, Levadia!''
Sporting director Viktor Levada added: ''Welcome to the club, Enock Otoo! We signed a contract with a young and talented footballer who comes from one of the best African academies. From his home country, he went to Danish clubs and now to Estonia – we see great potential in him! I believe that we can support each other in achieving new goals. We thank the Lyngby club for the professional cooperation. I wish Enock and the team much success for the new season!”
