The 21-year-old has completed his transfer switch to the French elite division campaigners from the Swedish top-flight outfit in this ongoing transfer window

Ghanaian centre-back Kojo Peprah Oppong has joined Ligue 1 side OGC Nice from Swedish Allsvenskan side IFK Norrköping, the club have announced.

The Attram de Visser Soccer Academy product was a hot commodity among suitors, with Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, FC Midtjylland and FC Copenhagen all believed to have courted his signature this summer.

''21-year-old Ghanaian centre-back Kojo Peprah Oppong has today joined Les Aiglons from Swedish top-flight side IFK Norrköping. Following the arrival of Juma Bah, OGC Nice has now registered another defensive signing in the form of Oppong, who possesses an athletic and explosive profile, excellent stamina and a strong presence in duels, both on the ground and in the air,'' an official confirmation read.

Right after appending his signature to the deal, the youngster has said via the club's official website: ''An important moment and a source of pride. I’m going to reach a new level at Nice, a club that fights for the top spots in Ligue 1 and that will be playing in Europe for a second consecutive season, and I feel ready for this new challenge,”

Sporting director Florian Maurice added: ''Kojo is a player that we’d been supervising until very recently. Even though he’s young [N.B.: Oppong turned 21 last month], he has established himself in the Swedish top flight at Norrköping, after a very interesting loan spell at [second-division side] Sundsvall. What drew us to him was not only his speed, his mobility and his aggression in duels but also his ability to play in different defensive systems. Obviously, he still has areas to improve upon and things to learn; we’re well aware of that, and so is he. We’re also here to help him to develop, though, and he’s ready to play because the Swedish league season is already underway.”

He was involved in 17 games for IFK across all competitions in this current Swedish 2025 football campaign.

Peprah has already been tipped for greatness in his footballing career as he could soon become an important figure for the Ghana Senior Men's National Team on the international stage.
