Serie A side Cagliari Calcio have announced the loan signing of Ghana international midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana from league rivals Atalanta BC, with an option to buy at the end of the current campaign.
The 22-year-old former Hellas Verona man is reuniting with the Sardegna Arena campaigners after spending time with them during the 2023-24 football season.
Since joining Atalanta BC in the summer of 2024, the youngster has struggled to establish himself as a first-team player at the Stadio di Bergamo, with a loan spell already taken at Bologna during the first stanza of this term.
An excerpt of an official confirmation over his loan deal reads on the club's official website: ''Cagliari Calcio is pleased to announce the acquisition of Ibrahim Sulemana from Atalanta BC on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season, with an option to buy.
''ln July 2024, he moved to Atalanta, where he played 10 games and scored two goals in victories against Roma and Genoa. Last summer, he joined Bologna on loan, where he spent the first part of the season.
''A versatile midfielder—he can play as either a defensive midfielder or a winger—he brings strength, pace, and dynamism. He has a good long-range shot, particularly valuable in defensive situations, with his innate ability to recover the ball and quickly restart the play.

Sulemana has so far won 6 caps for the Ghana senior national team on the international stage.
