The talented midfielder and the Breisgau Brazilians are going their separate ways this summer after spending four seasons together in the German football competitions

Bundesliga club SC Freiburg have announced the departure of Ghana international attacking midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

The 30-year-old established himself as a central figure at the Europa-Park Stadion after joining up from  FC St. Pauli during the summer of 2022. However, an unfortunate recurring anterior cruciate ligament injury scuppered his high-flying start to life in his maiden Bundesliga season with SC Freiburg - a situation that kept him on the sidelines for over three seasons.

The German outfit took to their micro-blogging platform lnstagram to announce the departure of the ball-playing midfielder by thanking him for his services throughout his time at the Europa-Park Stadion.

The former VfL Wolfsburg U17 star would not be short of offers from potential suitors in the summer window after returning in a great fashion by starring for the SC Freiburg U23 side in the just ended Regional League Southwest contest.

He is currently boasting of 18 caps with the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars and has revealed his eagerness to play in the forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup to be staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico in June this year.
