The newly-promoted Swedish top-flight outfit have announced the loan signing of the 20-year-old defender ahead of the start of the new football campaign

Ghanaian youngster Kingsley Gyamfi has joined Swedish Allsvenskan side Östers IF from Hammarby lF on a season-long loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the 2025 season.

After spending the second half of last term on loan at Finnish Veikkausliiga side Ekenäs IF, the budding defender is now set to figure prominently in the Swedish elite division contest on another loan stint with the newly-promoted top-tier outfit.

An official confirmation of the 20-year-old loan deal read via the club's official website: ''Östers IF can now announce that Ghanaian center back Kingsley Gyamfi is joining on loan from Allsvenskan Hammarby.''

''The 20-year-old talent previously came from an academy in Ghana and joined Hammarby IF in the summer of 2022, where he first started playing in the U19 Allsvenskan. In 2023, the centre-back joined the club's talent team, Hammarby TFF in Ettan Norra, at the same time as signing a long-term contract with Hammarby until 2026.''

'' In the autumn of 2024, he was on loan at Ekenäs IF in the Finnish top division and has trained with Hammarby again during the pre-season. It is now clear that the centre-back will join Öster on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.''

Club's sporting director Jesper Jansson commented over the capturing of the Ghanaian stopper on a season-long loan: ''I know Kingsley from before. He is a player with great potential who previously played in HTFF but was also loaned to Finland last year. A fast and tall center back who will complement the squad in a very good way. The opportunity arose considering the tough competition that Hammarby has in the position and we are very happy to be able to loan him.''

Gyamfi figured in 4 league games for Hammarby IF during the 2024 Swedish Allsvanskan campaign before joining the Finnish outfit on a loan basis.

The youngster has been tipped as a future prospect for Ghana Senior Men's National Team given his promising talent as a rising star.
