Dutch-born of Ghanaian decent, Jeremie Frimpong has signed a new contract with German Bundesliga side Bayern O4 Leverkusen following his impressive display since his arrival at the club. 

The 22-year-old joined the Black and Reds in the winter of 2021 from Celtic and has been outstanding and is currently one of the supporter's favourite at the Bay Arena.

The ex- Manchester City youth international had less than three years left in his contract, and has now penned down a new one which will maintain his relationship with Leverkusen until 2028.

The enterprising lateral was explosive last season and popped up on the radar of lots of clubs in Europe; having scored nine goals and provided eleven assists in 48 matches in all competitions.

In the just-commenced season, he has netted two goals and assisted three in eight appearances so far and will hope for more subsequently.

Jeremie Frimpong has featured for Holland at youth level but is yet to feature for their senior national team but is still adamant on switching nationality to play for Ghana despite series of attempts from the GFA to get him on board.
