The 23-year-old forward has sealed his short-term transfer loan move to the Belgian elite division outfit until the end of the current league campaign


Belgian Pro League club Standard Liège have announced the loan signing of Ghanaian centre-forward Kelvin Yeboah from Italian Serie A side Genoa CFC, with an option to secure him on a permanent basis should he impress at the end of the season.

The former FC Augsburg loanee has again been farmed out by his mother club after seeing his season-long loan deal with French Ligue 1 side Montpellier FC abrogated on Tuesday.

Announcing the deal, the Stade Maurice Dufrasne campaigners have said the deal could be made permanent upon its expiration having inserted a buy-out option in the contractual obligations terms.

"Standard de Liège, Genoa CFC and Kelvin YEBOAH have reached an agreement: the Italo-Ghanaian attacker will be loaned to our club until the end of this season (with purchase option)," excerpt of a statement confirming Kelvin Yeboah's capturing read.

His contract with the Genoa CFC runs until June 30, 2026 having joined them during the summer transfer window in 2022.

He still remains eligible to switch allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Italy U21 national youth team.
