Allsvenskan side Östers IF have announced the permanent signing of Ghanaian defender Kingsley Gyamfi from Hammarby lF on a long-term contract.
The 21-year-old ex-MSK Zilina Africa FC product is now joining the newly-promoted top-flight club as a full-time employee after linking up with them on a season-long loan deal for the 2025 top division contest.
''The 21-year-old defender from Ghana joined Öster on loan from Hammarby ahead of the season and has impressed greatly during the Allsvenskan spring season. It is now clear that Kingsley Gyamfi is signing a permanent multi-year contract with Öster,'' an official statement over his permanent deal read.
Kingsley had this to say right after inking his long-term contract via the club's official website: ''lt feels good to be here permanently now. The supporters, coaches and the entire staff love having me here and I am ready to continue helping the team.''
''It has meant a lot. All the people around here and also the players and managers are really kind to me. It is not everywhere you go that you get the kind of love and attention that you get here. Everyone asks how you are and how things are going and I think that is good. We have to continue working hard now and push to reach our highest level. Then maybe we can win the Allsvenskan haha!''
Sporting director Christian Järdler added: ''We are very happy to have agreed with Kingsley on a long-term contract. He is a very exciting player with great potential to develop further in our environment. Kingsley is extremely flexible in defense, good in duels and he handles the game both in front of and behind him in a good way. He is also a good passer who is confident and calm with the ball.''
Gyamfi has so far been involved in 8 games for Osters IF in this ongoing Allsvenskan 2025 football season.
He has been tipped as the next big thing to happen to Ghana football on the international stage given his magnificent talent as an upcoming youngster.
