French giants Olympique Lyon have officially announced the permanent capture of Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah after an impressive loan spell with them in the 2023/24 season.

The 20-year-old joined the Kids in the last summer on a season long loan from Belgian topflight side RWD Molenbeek- who had just signed him from Danish giants FC Nordsjaelland for €18 million.

He is now joining on permanent stay and has signed a four-year deal which will keep him at the Groupama Stadium until 2028, the club confirmed on their official website.

The mercurial winger enjoyed a great debut season in the French Ligue 1 but Les Gones really struggled and weren't at their best in the entire season and that somehow affected the player's performance individually.

Nuamah, made 29 league appearances and contributed 3 goals and 2 assists- an outstanding performance which caught the good eyes of manager Pierre Sage and decided to keep him on a long term.

He is an integral member of the recent Black Stars squad when they recorded back to back wins over Mali and Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Ernest Nuamah is expected to join his teammates very soon for preseason ahead of the new season.
