Spanish La Liga outfit Real Valladolid have secured the signature of Ghana international Joseph Aidoo until the end of the 2024-25 season's campaign.
Aidoo has been acquired by the Estadio José Zorrilla outfit on a loan deal from rival La Liga club Celta Vigo due to limited playing time after returning from a long injury layoff.
The club's official statement reads: “Real Valladolid and RC Celta have reached an agreement for the transfer of the federative rights of Joseph Aiddo (29-09-1995; Tema, Ghana) until the end of the current season. Thus, the centre-back, an international with his country, lands in Zorrilla to reinforce the Blanquivioleta defence”
The 29-year-old has struggled for game time at Celta this season, making just one appearance and playing only a single minute. His last La Liga outing was on September 15, 2024, ironically against Valladolid, when he came on briefly in a 3-1 victory for Celta.
Valladolid, currently rooted to the bottom of La Liga, are desperate for reinforcements as they battle to avoid relegation.
Aidoo’s arrival is expected to bolster Real Valladolid's struggling defense.
