Spanish La Liga side Real Valladolid have reached an agreement to sign Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo on loan from Celta Vigo for the remainder of the season.
Aidoo has struggled for game time at Celta this season, making just one appearance and playing only a single minute.
His last La Liga outing was on September 15, 2024, ironically against Valladolid, when he came on briefly in a 3-1 victory for RC Celta.
The 29-year-old must first pass a medical before completing the move, as concerns remain over his fitness following a serious Achilles tendon injury he suffered in October 2023.
Valladolid, currently rooted to the bottom of La Liga, are desperate for reinforcements as they battle to avoid relegation.
Aidoo’s arrival is expected to bolster their struggling defense.
