The 21-year-old lateral stopper of Ghanaian origin has inked a fresh term over extension with his current employers as his new deal is set to come to a close in 2027

Swedish-born Ghanaian defender Raymond Adjei has signed a two-year contract extension with relegated Swedish Allsvenskan side Östers IF, the club have announced.

The enterprising right-back, who linked up with the Vaxjo-based club from Malmo FF in 2024, has lived up to his expectations  with the Spiris Arena campaigners in the Swedish football contest.

''Right-back Raymond Adjei has extended his contract until 2027. It was ahead of the 2024 season that Adjei joined Öster from Malmö FF and now it is clear that the 21-year-old has extended his contract for another two seasons. Adjei made ten appearances in the 2025 Allsvenskan and sporting director Ola Larsson describes his development,'' a statement over the contract extension read.

The Ghana-prospects defender said right after putting pen to paper on a new deal via the club's official website: ''It feels like an obvious decision. I feel very comfortable in Öster and I want to be part of bringing the club back to the top. I'm really looking forward to the new season starting.''

Sporting director Ola Larsson stated; ''It was ahead of the 2024 season that Adjei joined Öster from Malmö FF and now it is clear that the 21-year-old has extended his contract for another two seasons. Adjei made ten appearances in the 2025 Allsvenskan.''

He figured in 11 game appearances across all competitions for Öster lF during the 2025 Swedish Championship football season.

Adjei, who graduated from the youth ranks of Malmo FF, is still qualified to switch allegiance and represent Ghana on the international stage despite playing for Swedish U15 & U18 national youth teams.
