The budding Ghanaian teenage sensation has completed his loan switch to the Swedish third tier side until the end of the current campaign
Swedish-born Ghanaian starlet Sion Oppong has joined Division 1 club FC Stockholm from Allsvenskan side IF Brommapojkarna on a loan deal, the club have announced.
The 17-year-old promising star is linking up with the Swedish lower division outfit for much game time so as to continue his development as an upcoming youngster.
A portion of an official confirmation over his loan deal read: "FC Stockholm is filling out the squad for the upcoming autumn matches. Offensive player Sion Oppong is on loan from Allsvenskan IF Brommapojkarna."
Oppong has said to his official website right after sealing his loan move this summer: "The choice fell on FC because I feel that it is a very exciting project with many good players and coaches who are attractive. My expectations for the rest of the season are that we will try to win as many matches as possible and fight for a place in Superettan. Personally, I want to help the team as much as I can and contribute with points and offensive qualities."
Sporting director Stefan Elfver added: "We are pleased to welcome Sion Oppong to FC Stockholm. He is a young and promising player who, with his energy and offensive qualities, can contribute directly, while we see great development potential. We thank BP for the good cooperation."
Given his magnificent talent, Oppong could be a prospect in the nearest future for Ghana at the international level.
