On-loan KAA Gent winger Osman Bukari scored his maiden goal for the Black Stars of Ghana against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opener.
Bukari climbed off the bench to registered his first-ever goal for the West African nation to record a big win over the Barea of Madagascar at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
Two quick goals from Ajax midfielder Kudus Mohammed and AS Roma youngster Felix Afena-Gyan gave the four-time African champions a 2-0 lead before the hour-mark.
On the 86th minute, Bukari put the icing on the cake with a sublime finish after rounding off goalkeeper Nina Razakanirina to seal victory for the Black Stars at home.
The 23-year-old has been recalled by his club KAA Gent after a successful loan spell at French Ligue 1 club Nantes FC in the just ended 2021/22 season
Bukari has made five appearances for the senior national team of Ghana since his promotion from the Ghana U23 team.
