Ghanaian winger, Osman Bukari scored for Austin FC in their precious 2-1 victory over Minnesota United after extra time to reach the final of the ongoing 2025 US Open Cup in a very thrilling encounter. 

The 26-year-old was in the starting line up as usual and was part of the scorers having made 96 minutes of action before making way for Chilean international Diego Rubio. 

Bukari, opened the scoring account just on the stroke of half-time with a very cool finish to give his side the lead at half-time. 

Argentine international Joaquin Pereyra equalized in the 67th minute to send the game to extra time — where substitute Calvin Fodrey out of nowhere scored in the dying embers to win it 2-1 to send Austin FC to the final. 

The Verde and Blacks have had an impressive run in the competition so far and will be offering all they could to win the title in what will be a very epic final against Nashville SC. 

The final is slated for Wednesday, October 1, 2025. 

Osman Bukari now has three-goal involvements in four matches in the competition and has recently been out of the Black Stars but is very hopeful of returning next in the final two matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Central African Republic and Comoros.
