Serbian Super Liga side FK Spartak Subotica have completed the signing of Ghanaian defender Kudu Shama Abdul, with the teenager penning a four-year deal following his emergence at Benab FC.
The 19-year-old has been a central figure in Benab’s rise through Ghana’s lower divisions, helping the club to two appearances in the Ashanti Regional Division Two Middle League and earning a reputation for his composure and leadership at the back.
Abdul’s performances did not go unnoticed at international level, with the defender breaking into Ghana’s U19 squad, where his reading of the game and organisational qualities have impressed the national coaches.
Spartak hailed their new signing as a player of “foal blood” and have handed him the number 22 jersey as he prepares for his first taste in European football.
