Ghanaian forward Patrick Twumasi turned heads rolling with his 17th minute goal for Maccabi Netanya in their 2-2 draw against Hapoel Be'er Sheva at the Yaakov Turner Toto Stadium on Sunday.
The right wingers last goal for 'The Diamonds' in a 2-1 defeat against Hapoel Beer Sheva in October 2022, and it was a sweet feeling as he slotted home the equaliser from a tight angle after trailing from a goal down.
Hapoel Beer Sheva scored the opener after Rotem Hatuel fired them ahead inside six minutes, with Netanya fighting back eleven minutes later where Twumasi scored the much-needed equaliser against a side he's fond of scoring against since moving to Israel.
The Diamonds scored one quickfire goal through Serbian forward Igor Zlatanović who saw them ahead in the 39th minute.
Before half-time, Sagiv Yehezkel curled home a trademark goal at the death of recess to score his fourth in the Israeli Premier League this season.
The sharing of the spoils was a fair reflection of the game, with Maccabi Netanya sitting on the 8th spot with 21 points. Hapoel Be'er Sheva climbed to 3rd place, but are now nine points clear of the top.
Twumasi, who has netted two goals in ten league games this season - displayed an improved performance, basking in great touches in the home teams box.
