Ghana international Patrick Twumasi has claimed his first piece of silverware with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors after the club triumphed in the revived K League Super Cup.

Twumasi was an unused substitute as Jeonbuk recorded a 2-0 victory over Daejeon Hana Citizen at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium. Goals from Motta and Tiago sealed a comfortable win, handing the club the curtain-raiser trophy ahead of the new season.

The Super Cup’s return marked a historic moment after nearly two decades off the calendar, with Jeonbuk qualifying as double champions.

Twumasi, who joined the Korean giants last summer after leaving Pafos FC, will hope the early success sparks a strong campaign at both club level and with Ghana’s national team.
