Matthew Anim-Cudjoe's 54th minute scorcher was enough to earn Bnei Sakhnin a fortunate win at Doha Stadium - and temporarily put them seventh of the Israeli Premier League.
Until that moment, Beitar Jerusalem had more than matched the hosts with artistry but equally could not fashion a genuine chance.
Bnei also looked shot-shy in the first ten minutes. However, their breakthrough came in the 11th minute as Cyprus defender Konstantinos Sotiriou fired the opener, with Anim-Cujoe providing the assist.
But in the 54th minute, Ghanaian attacking midfielder Cudjoe notched his side's second goal to make it 2-0, with 36 minutes to full-time.
Beitar pulled one back through forward' Mayron George Clayton. The Costa Rican international's was not enough as Cudjoe's goal earned Slobodan Drapić's side their fourth win after seven rounds of matches this season.
Anim-Cujoe's compatroit Patrick Twumasi played for Beitar Jerusalem but was subbed in the 69th minute, with Togolese forward Silva Kani replacing him.
