Inaki Williams was a second half substitute in Athletico Bilbao's painful 3-1 away loss to Real Betis at the Estadio Benito Villamarin. His younger brother Nico Williams was red carded in the game.

In the Portugal Premiera Liga, Abdul Aziz Yakubu netted a brace from spot-kicks in Rio Ave's pulsating 3-3 home draw with Sporting CP last Sunday night.

BELGIUM

Kamal Sowah sat at the bench throughout the game where his side Standard Liege suffered 2-1 defeat at Union St Gilloise in the Belgian topflight.

At the Jan Breydel Stadion, Club Brugge lost 1-2 to RSC Anderlecht in a game Denis Odoi warmed the bench for the hosts. Majeed Ashimeru was out for the victors due to injury.

Christopher Bonsu Baah lasted the entire duration for KRC Genk in their important 0-1 away win over Sporting Charleroi.

HOLLAND

Ernest Opoku was a second half feature for AZ Alkmaar who humbled giants Ajax by an emphatic 2-0 win at the AFAS Stadion. Ibrahim Sadiq didn't make the squad.

SWITERZELAND

Lawrence Ati-Zigi kept a clean sheet to help FC ST Gallen steal a 1-0 home win over Stade Laussane-Ouchy in the Swiss topflight.

Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah wasn't in action for his new club FC Grasshoppers who lost 0-1 to his former club Luzern.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh was brought on in the second half but wasn't enough as FC Zurich lost 2-0 at home to FC Lugano.

Forson Amankwah wasn't in action for Red Bull Salzburg who recorded a big 7-0 win over Austria Lustenau.

Augustine Boakye was a second half substitute for Wolfsberger AC who grinded an important 0-1 away win at LASK in the Austrian Bundesliga.

SERBIA

Osman Bukari scored his sixth of the season for Red Star Belgrade in their emphatic 3-0 win over FK Cukaricki.

USA

Jonathan Mensah played all minutes for New England Revolution who lost 3-1 to DC United with ten men.

Eugene Ansah made a cameo appearance for FC Dallas who recorded a 2-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes at the Toyota Stadium.

Lalas Abubakar was an unused substitute for Colorado Rapids who were 4-1 losers to Portland Timbers.

German-born of Ghanaian descent Prince Osei Owusu was a second half substitute for Toronto FC who held FC Cincinnati to a goalless draw. Ex- Liberty Professionals forward Latif Blessing warmed the bench for the visitors.

Joseph Paintsil had his first start for Los Angeles Galaxy who played a 1-1 draw with Lionel Messi's Inter Miami on the early hours of Monday.

SAUDI ARABIA 

Bernard Mensah continued with his explosive form for Al Tai and scored again over the weekend in their 1-4 home defeat to Al Ahli.
