The former MSK Zilina Africa starlet has been released by Philadelphia Union due to his fitness problems, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.

Major League Soccer side Philadelphia Union have terminated their contract with Ghanaian young centre-back Abasa Aremeyaw after struggling with knee injury since pre-season.

Aremeyaw joined the Subaru Stadium outfit on a two-and-half year deal on a free transfer in August 2022 after leaving Slovakian outfit MSK Zilina.

Kickgh.com understands that Philadelphia Union cancelled the contract of the 19-year-old over his knee problems, which forced him out of action for several months.

The lanky defender's two-and-half year contract was abrogated by Philadelphia Union, without making a single appearances in the club's shirt.

Aremeyaw attracted interest from several clubs across Europe following his exploits in the UEFA Youth League with MSK Zilina during the 2021/22 season.
