Derrick Arthur Köhn, a promising Ghanaian youngster representing the Germany U-19 national team, has expressed his keenness to receive a call-up to the prestigious Ghana national team, commonly known as the Black Stars.

Despite being born in Germany, the talented defender has been making waves at Hannover 96 throughout the current season, actively contributing to the team's impressive tally of 10 goals thus far.

In an interview with Accra-based Hot FM, Derrick Köhn enthusiastically stated, "It would be a tremendous honor for me to receive an invitation to join the Black Stars under the guidance of Chris Hughton, and I can confidently say that I am fully prepared to represent Ghana."

Köhn made the transition to Hannover 96 in 2022, following a successful two-season loan spell with Wellim FC in Germany.

His consistent performances and notable contributions have captured the attention of Ghana's national team selectors, leaving him hopeful for an opportunity to exhibit his skills on the international stage.

Having already scored five goals in the German Bundesliga 2 this season, Köhn's outstanding displays have sparked interest from several top-flight clubs, who are reportedly keen on securing his signature.

Recently, his coach Stefan Leitl heaped praise on Köhn, declaring him the best left-back in the league. "For me, Derrick is the finest left-back in the league. He demonstrated that impressively today," applauded the Hannover 96 manager.
