English Premier League side Everton FC have expressed interest in signing English-born Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku who could cost them around €5 million
The 26-year-old, who plays for Turkish topflight side Istanbul Basaksehir, joined on permanent basis prior to the start of the ongoing season from Portuguese side Arouca having already excelled in an initial loan deal at the Fatih Terim Stadium in the 2023/24 season
The lanky center-back has been very impressive so far this season with 43 appearances in all competitions, 29 in the Turkish Super Lig with 2 goals and 3 assists from the back
The Black Stars defender could return to England very soon having previously had spells at Fulham, including two loan moves at Accrington Stanley and Plymouth Argyle
Reports has it that, Everton have been keeping tabs on the left sided center-back and have already submitted a bid of €4 million to Istanbul Basaksehir for his service
Jerome Opoku has been with the Black Stars for sometime now and made his first start against Madagascar in the March international window in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers
