Ghanaian forward Prince Kwabena Adu delivered another sparkling performance for Viktoria Plzen, scoring twice in an enthralling 3-3 Czech First League draw against Hradec Králové on Sunday.
The 23-year-old, who has been one of Plzen’s standout performers this season, showed his predatory instincts once again, taking his league tally to three goals in four matches.
After Plzen fell behind early, Adu Kwabena restored parity in first-half stoppage time with a composed finish in the 45+3rd minute, ensuring his side went into the break level. His second came late on, which was a perfect goal-poacher’s effort in the 89th minute that briefly appeared to have sealed victory for the visitors.
However, the drama was far from over, as Hradec Králové struck deep into injury time (90+6) to snatch a share of the spoils, leaving Plzen frustrated despite their attacking fluency.
While the result means Viktoria Plzen dropped valuable points, Adu Kwabena’s brace once again highlighted his growing importance to Plzen in the Czech top-tier league.
