Ghanaian striker Prince Osei Owusu scored in Toronto FC's 2-1 defeat to Forge FC in the Canadian Championship Semi-final on Wednesday.

Substituted in at the start of the second half for Aime Mabika, Prince Osei Owusu found the back of the net in the 88th minute at Tim Hortons Field.

Forge FC, with Ghanaian winger Nana Ampomah in their lineup, took an early lead through Béni Badibanga's long-range strike in the 11th minute. Just three minutes later, Canadian-born Ghanaian defender Kwasi Poku doubled Forge FC's lead with a goal from the center of the box.

Despite dominating possession and having more shots, Toronto FC struggled to capitalize on their opportunities. Prince Osei Owusu's late goal, assisted by Derrick Etienne Jr. from a corner, was not enough to end their winless streak, which now extends to 10 games.

Toronto FC will now turn their attention to their upcoming Major League Soccer (MLS) match against the Philadelphia Union on July 13th.
