The experienced Ghanian defender has confirmed his imminent move to the Indonesian top-flight outfit owing to medical examinations in the coming days

Ghana international defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has said he's joining Indonesian Liga 1 side PSS Sleman after severing ties with Swedish Allsvanskan side Halmstads BK this summer.

The 32-year-old has stated that he would be flying to the Asian country on Monday to undertake his mandatory medical examinations after which he could put pen to paper if given a clean bill of health.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender confirmed his imminent move to the Maguwoharjo Stadium outfit to newspaper Hallandsposten: " I will leave. We have reached a mutual agreement that I will leave the club this summer. So I am a free player now, but I will most likely move to Indonesia. I will fly there on Monday for the medical and if all goes well, I will sign immediately after."

He added: "It is not a decision against the club or anyone in this club, but it is more a decision for me and my family. I am 32 years old and will turn 33 in September. I won't have too many chances to make a transition like this and it has always been a dream to play somewhere where the weather is always good."

The German-born Ghanaian right-back has so far earned one cap for Ghana at the international level after switching national allegiance and represented the West African powerhouse in 2015.
