Ghanaian winger Prosper Kasim registered an assist in Union Omaha’s 2-1 loss to South Georgia Tormenta FC in their 2025 USL League One opener on Friday night.

Kasim set up Ryan Becher’s 13th-minute equalizer after Yaniv Bazini had given the visitors an early lead.

Bazini struck again just six minutes later, heading in a cross from Taylor Gray to restore Tormenta’s advantage—a lead they held until the final whistle at Werner Park.

Despite dominating possession and chances, Omaha suffered their first defeat to Tormenta in 14 meetings.

Kasim played the full match and will look to build on his performance in their next fixture against Texoma on July 24.
