French Ligue 1 side, RC Lens have opened negotiations with defender Kevin Danso over a possible new deal in the next coming weeks, per exclusive reports reaching Kickgh.com
The stalwart center-back was born in Voitsberg in Austria and that's where he's chosen to represent at national level despite having a Ghanaian descent.
The 24 year old switched to the Gold and Bloods in the summer of 2021 from FC Augsburg- where he had served as a fringe for two seasons with long loan spells at Southampton and Fortuna Dusseldorf.
He was absolutely amazing in the just ended season for Lens and played a vital role in helping them secure Champions League football next season after 15-year drought.
Danso, made 36 appearances with four goal-involvement from the back; scoring one and creating three- an impressive display which earned him a spot in the Ligue 1 Team of the 2022/23 campaign.
With this remarkable performance, RC Lens per reports, have begun talks with the camp of the player hoping to tie him down for their European campaign and also, to fend off interest from elsewhere having already popped on the list of some top clubs.
Kevin Danso just recently featured for Austria in their 2-0 home win over Sweden in the 2024 European Championship qualifiers.
