Ghanaian forward Joselpho Barnes has completed his move to Belgian Pro League outfit Sint-Truiden, inking a two-year contract with the club.
The 21-year-old, who previously featured for the youth team of Schalke 04, brings immense potential to his new team.
Barnes, a key member of Ghana's triumphant U20 squad in the 2021 U20 African Cup of Nations, is primed to make a significant impact at Sint-Truiden.
During his time at Schalke, he played a prominent role for their U19 side, amassing 39 appearances, three goals, and two assists.
Following the expiration of his contract in Germany last year, Barnes opted to continue his career in Latvia with FC Riga.
His stint at FC Riga was highlighted by impressive displays, as Barnes netted seven goals in 29 matches while also providing four assists.
Having been born and raised in Germany, Barnes is the son of former Ghanaian international Sebastian Barnes.
He honed his skills in the youth academies of renowned German clubs such as Borussia Mönchengladbach, Fortuna Köln, and Schalke 04, establishing himself as a promising prospect for the future.
